New administration delays enforcement of pending rules

The White House has issued a memorandum deferring the implementation of new and pending regulations released under the Bush administration, a CMS representative said. The ICD-10 and the interim rule for identifying protected groups of prescription medicines under Medicare Part D are among those that could be put on hold as the government moves to conduct further reviews.
