AMR is "pleased" with judge's approval on aircraft financing

AMR Corp., the parent company of American Airlines, has received court approval by Judge Sean Lane for aircraft financing that takes advantage of lower interest rates. The carrier estimates that it will save more than $200 million in interest expense. "We are pleased with Judge Lane's decision and that he agreed with our position," AMR spokesman Sean Collins said in a statement.
