Bastianich pitches plan to help smokers quit

Celebrity restaurateur Joe Bastianich, whose 18-year smoking habit had him up to three packs a day before he quit, has endorsed the Blueprint to Quit stop-smoking regimen as a way to help restaurant workers, nearly one-third of whom smoke, kick the habit. "It’s a fact that the type of people who are successful in our industry are so creative and hardworking, they have a tendency to be compulsive -- and that leads to bad habits," he said.
