Conn. may expand workers comp for Newtown first responders

The Connecticut Legislature is expected to consider legislation that would expand workers compensation benefits in an effort to assist first responders coping with post-traumatic stress after responding to the shootings at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The Newtown Board of Police Commissioners requested the benefits for those who sustained physical and emotional injury when responding to the shootings.
