Dodgers, Time Warner Cable deal could mean new sports net

Time Warner Cable is said to have made an offer worth more than $7 billion for the rights to carry the Los Angeles Dodgers. The team's current pact with News Corp. for the Prime Ticket Channel will finish after the upcoming season. Time Warner Cable already operates SportsNet, a regional network for the Los Angeles Lakers, but the Dodgers reportedly want to have their own outlet.
