Price increases could be coming for Twitter's promoted trends

Twitter is poised to make changes to its Promoted Trend ad unit, increasing rates on "premium days" to collect extra revenue on days of high-exposure events such as the Super Bowl and Election Day. Promoted Trend buys currently cost $120,000, but sources say that figures will increase considerably for special events.
