Study: Methods used to manage post-TAVR patients are safe

Warfarin plus a single antiplatelet drug or, if bleeding is an issue, warfarin alone were safe for patients following transcatheter aortic valve replacement, according to a study in the American Journal of Cardiology. "In general, we believe that patients who have indications for long-term anticoagulation should continue with this therapy irrespective of the TAVR procedure," the study's authors wrote.
