CN, CP sign separate 10-year shipping deals with Canpotex

Canadian National and Canadian Pacific will be Canpotex's freight carriers of choice as the two Class I's each signed a 10-year potash shipment deal with the company. CP, along with Union Pacific, will ship the potash to Oregon and to Vancouver, British Columbia, while CN will ship to a terminal in North Vancouver. CN and Canpotex are exploring the possibility of a new potash export terminal in Prince Rupert, B.C. CP had strengthened its rail system to boost service efficiency for Canpotex's potash shipments.
