Housing developers find a renewed market in active seniors

For active seniors in northern areas looking for alternatives to staying in homes they can no longer sustain or moving away to warmer locations, active-lifestyle senior housing may be the answer. The Fair Housing Act of 1995 allows builders to market specifically to the 55-and-over community, and such developments may be an answer for boomers and seniors who may not be able to handle heavy outside chores but don't need or wish to pay for health care, meals or indoor home maintenance.
