Michigan aims to improve infant, toddler nutrition

Michigan has partnered with state-based Gerber Products, the Michigan Grocers Association and the Michigan Health & Hospital Association in the Pure Michigan FIT program that focuses on improving infant and toddler nutrition. The program will encourage longer breast-feeding and delayed introduction of solid foods, consumption of less fruit juice, and elimination of foods with saturated fats.
