The Municipal Securities Rulemaking Board's Electronic Municipal Market Access system displays prices and yields for muni transactions between customers and dealers. Now, the MSRB wants EMMA to display the information for transactions between dealers. SIFMA is analyzing the MSRB proposal. "SIFMA is in favor of additional transparency when it would be helpful to the market, particularly if no additional burdens are put on industry members," said Leslie Norwood, managing director and co-head of the muni securities division of SIFMA.
