Canadian arena faces problems with snow-guard system

A gap between a membrane and a snow guard on a new PVC roof at the Cliff McNabb arena in Nanaimo, British Columbia, has led to snow and ice falling onto the sidewalk. The roof, which replaced a metal one, was part of a $1.9 million renovation. The city and the company that built the roof are considering ways to fix the problem.
