The proposed Clean Line Energy transmission line that would deliver power from wind turbines in Iowa to customers in Illinois will bring thousands of jobs to communities along its route, Beth Conley, a company representative, told the Board of Supervisors of Plymouth County, Iowa. "When we're putting in 3,500 megawatts of wind into the ground, you're going to need about 5,000 individuals to help with the construction of those wind farms, and then once they're in the ground, we will probably need about 500 operation and maintenance folks," Conley said. The company aims to break ground in late 2015, with completion due by 2018.
