Lawmakers call on Obama to clear Keystone XL pipeline

The Obama administration should swiftly clear TransCanada's Keystone XL pipeline, 53 senators said a day after Nebraska Gov. Dave Heineman approved the project's revised route through the state. "We urge you to choose jobs, economic development and American energy security," the senators said, adding the project "has gone through the most exhaustive environmental scrutiny of any pipeline" in U.S. history.
