Mich. health system creates ACO with 8 physician groups

The University of Michigan Health System has worked with eight provider groups in the state to set up an accountable care organization. Called the Physician Organization of Michigan ACO, the initiative was among the latest ACOs to participate in the Medicare Shared Savings Program and includes more than 1,800 doctors serving about 81,000 patients.
