NPD: Netflix, connected TVs come together for 40% of households

Netflix's video-streaming service was found in about 40% of the households with an Internet-connected television in the fourth quarter, according to The NPD Group. That level of adoption was even higher with consumers in the 18-to-24 age bracket, at more than 50%, the market research firm reported. "The inherent success of Netflix streaming can be attributed to its content library and TV-centric strategy," NPD's John Buffone wrote.
