Team touts an advance toward molecular memory

Chemists at the Indian Institute of Science Education and Research say they've come up with a molecule that can have its conductivity altered with a single ferromagnetic electrode. The discovery could help advance development of molecular memory, which could lead to an alternative to hard-disk drives and solid-state drives, Stephen Lawson writes.
