Maryland Gov. O'Malley appears ready to support marriage equality

Passage of a marriage equality law appears to be a key part of Maryland Gov. Martin O'Malley's agenda this year. The governor, who in July said he would back such legislation, was slated to host a breakfast today with same-sex couples before holding a press conference to outline his legislative goals. The state Senate passed a marriage measure last year, but the House of Delegates did not.
