N.C. governor voices support for offshore wind development

North Carolina Gov. Pat McCrory wrote a letter to the Bureau of Ocean Energy Management in support of offshore wind development. "Development of commercial wind farms off the North Carolina coast could stimulate factory development in the state to provide the necessary equipment and bring jobs in that sector," McCrory said. Building offshore wind farms could bring in $22 billion worth of economic activity and up to 10,000 jobs to North Carolina, McCrory said.
