Senate takes up veterans' employment issues

One of the first bills proposed in the current session of Congress aims to reduce veteran unemployment. The bill seeks to provide incentives to employers who hire veterans for first-responder positions. It also would expand small-business loan opportunities, strengthen legal protections for service members and extend the Retraining Assistance Program.
