Cord-cutting isn't much of a factor as pay-TV rates increase

Comcast, Time Warner Cable and other pay-TV providers have opted to raise rates in the 3% to 5% range to meet increases in affiliation and retransmission consent fees. Three major operators, including Cablevision, are keeping prices level. However, cord-cutting doesn't seem to pose much of a threat, with the 14 major pay-TV operators estimated to have increased their combined rolls by 150,000 from January through September of last year.
