Survey: Tax incentives for retirement savings have broad support

The U.S. should make no changes to tax incentives that encourage retirement savings, according to 85% of households surveyed by the Investment Company Institute. In addition, 83% of respondents oppose measures that would trim the amount that workers can contribute to retirement accounts. If it weren't for 401(k) plans, more than 45% of those surveyed said they likely would not be saving for retirement.
