Air Native Nike shoes part of tribal diabetes prevention

The Diabetes Prevention Program for Native Americans in the Santa Clara Valley of California is using grant money to purchase Nike Air Native shoes created specially for the wider feet of many Native Americans. The diabetes prevention efforts are part of a larger Community Wellness, and Outreach program and manager Jan Chacon says the shoes are a "tangible way of telling people we believe in them."
