SPECT MPI with Cardiolite useful in diagnosing heart disease, study says

Lantheus Medical Imaging said SPECT myocardial perfusion imaging with its Cardiolite radiopharmaceutical is useful in diagnosing coronary artery disease in people with new-onset heart failure. The procedure showed a 96% sensitivity and 56% specificity for diagnosing extensive CAD in a study involving 201 individuals in the U.S. and the U.K.
