Canada honours 40 top principals

Forty educators -- including five in Toronto, Ontario -- have received Canada's Outstanding Principals for 2012 award. One principal said her school has raised standardised test scores and improved in other ways because she gives teachers clear strategies and guidance. "If you don't put intentionality to student achievement then the end results are hit and miss," said principal Amina Timol.
