ACC: Evidence is lacking to declare BPA as reproductive hazard

California regulators recently took a step toward classifying bisphenol A as a developmental hazard under Proposition 65, a step the American Chemistry Council says is unsupported by science. "The weight of scientific evidence does not support [the Office of Environmental Health Hazard Assessment's] intention to list BPA under Prop. 65, and this action sharply contrasts with the results of the earlier assessment conducted by California's own scientific experts," ACC's Steven Hentges said.
