Calif. agency moves to classify BPA as a harmful chemical

An office of the California Environmental Protection Agency has determined that bisphenol A meets the criteria for classification as a chemical "known to cause reproductive toxicity" under Proposition 65. A proposed regulation would set the maximum allowable exposure to BPA at 290 micrograms per day.
