Ethanol sector welcomes Obama's remarks on renewable power

Ethanol groups, including the Renewable Fuels Association, said they were delighted to hear President Barack Obama state the importance of renewable energy in his State of the Union address. The RFA stands with Obama on providing jobs and economic opportunity in a clean, sustainable manner, said Bob Dinneen, the group's CEO and president. To ensure the growth of renewable fuels, regulators must approve E15 and higher blends, extend the tax credit for all ethanol feedstocks and work with the industry to expand infrastructure, Dinneen added.
