Google offers funding to Energy Foundation to support policy reform

Google is presenting a $2.6 million grant to the Energy Foundation to support the group's push for changes to government policy to favor a shift to more sustainable energy use. According to Michael Terrell, senior policy counsel for Google Energy & Sustainability, the money will go to support efforts to modernize access and rate policies, and to support open data policies that offer consumers more insight into their energy use.
