Hess seeks shutdown of N.J. refinery, sale of U.S. terminal network

Hess is looking to unload its terminal network in the U.S. and shut down its refinery in Port Reading, N.J., by the end of next month. The moves "will complete its transformation from an integrated oil and gas company to one that is predominantly an exploration and production company and be able to redeploy substantial additional capital to fund its future growth opportunities," said John Hess, the company's chairman and CEO.
