SNMMI, Alzheimer's Association unveil AUC for amyloid imaging

SNMMI and the Alzheimer's Association have issued appropriate use criteria for amyloid imaging. "As amyloid imaging becomes more prevalent in clinical settings, medical professionals must understand how to appropriately utilize the test," SNMMI President Frederic H. Fahey said. The guidelines clarify under what circumstances a patient should undergo testing. The recommendations also outline three conditions for appropriate use, including the potential for the test to improve patient management.
