Twitter and Google bemoan government's data requests

Google and Twitter marked "Data Privacy Day" by accusing the U.S. government of making "invasive" and "overly broad" requests for their users' personal information. Neither company made any mention of their own use of user data for ad targeting, Kate Kaye writes. "[T]he failure for either company to make even a minor mention of their own revenue-driven data collection and use is striking," Kaye writes.
