Burn pit registry will monitor health trends in veterans

A new Department of Veterans Affairs registry will seek to examine possible links between smoke from burn pits in Iraq and Afghanistan and health problems among veterans. Congress mandated creation of the database, which affected veterans hope will make it easier for them to file VA disability claims.
