Counsyl taps ARUP to offer test to ID genetic disorders

ARUP Laboratories has agreed to offer Counsyl's pregnancy and pre-pregnancy test for undisclosed terms. The test can be used to examine more than 400 gene variants simultaneously using one tube of blood and can screen for spinal muscular atrophy and several other recessive genetic conditions.
