Exposure to alcohol ads on TV may influence teen drinking

Seventh-grade students who were exposed to more alcohol advertisements on television and liked them had greater alcohol use by 10th grade, a study in the journal Pediatrics showed. Exposure to the ads affected girls' drinking behavior more than boys, and liking the ads was linked to more alcohol-related issues, particularly in boys, researchers said.
