Ill. system uses EHR to help control hypertension

An EHR system deployed in 2011 has helped NorthShore University Health System improve its efforts to help screen for hypertension across its outpatient population. The Evanston, Ill.-based health system, which won first place in this year's Healthcare Informatics Innovator Awards, used the system to identify undiagnosed hypertension in patients in its multispecialty medical network.
