Neb. bill would ban teen tanning

Nebraska lawmakers are considering legislation that would bar anyone younger than 18 from indoor tanning at a spa or salon. People younger than 35 who tan are at a 75% increased risk for melanoma, the CDC says. Indoor tanning salons often do not inform customers of tanning's risks, and parents cannot make informed decisions when they are not given adequate information, dermatologist Tricia Hultgren said.
