NFL wins a big audience on Facebook

About 35 million U.S. Facebook users -- amounting to about 10% of Americans -- have "liked" an NFL team on Facebook, according to the social network. Many of those fans are fair-weather supporters, though, as data show that making the playoffs is the single biggest way to increase a team's online support. "Some people just like to hop aboard the bandwagon," Facebook says.
