Programs offer fertility options for young cancer survivors

More health care professionals and programs are addressing cancer survivorship issues, including fertility options for young cancer patients, such as pre-treatment storage of eggs and embryos for later use. Despite the progress, advocates say increased awareness is needed and that more oncologists should have fertility conversations with patients before treatment begins.
