Sprint expands LTE reach, now serves 58 markets

Sprint Nextel on Monday extended its Long-Term Evolution network to Boston and Austin, Texas, making the 4G service available in 58 markets. The carrier also added seven small markets, including western Puerto Rico. Sprint has concentrated largely on modest-size towns but recently brought LTE to Chicago and Indianapolis and has New York, Los Angeles, Philadelphia and Washington in its sights in the coming months.
