Expert talks about the challenges, benefits of using PET/MR scanner

In this podcast, Dr. Pamela Woodard from the Mallinckrodt Institute of Radiology at St. Louis' Washington University School of Medicine talks about startup challenges and the need to develop protocols for the Siemens Biograph mMR hybrid PET/MR scanner. The institute is only the third site in the U.S. that has started using the device. Woodard said the equipment has benefits for patients, including the use of lower radiation doses and simultaneous imaging capability.
