Financial-literacy class targets young adults

New Settlement Apartments, a nonprofit group that provides affordable housing and community services in Bronx, N.Y., is targeting young adults with a program that teaches banking, credit and budgeting. "No one is teaching them how to do these things. They're set up for failure," said Ivette Gongón-Volmar, who teaches the financial-literacy workshop.
