India to build stem cell hospital

San Diego-based Global Institute of Stem Cell Therapy and Research will provide assistance and training for a 160-bed stem cell research hospital in Surat, India. The $18 million project is expected to open by 2015, and its main focus will be on sickle cell anemia and spinal cord conditions.
