Study adds to evidence supporting transradial PCI

A Manchester Heart Centre review of study data showed using transradial access for PCI in STEMI patients reduced deaths, cardiac events and complications compared with the transfemoral approach. The study adds to extensive evidence on the benefits of transradial PCI, but while researchers said it showed a trend toward less bleeding, the risk of major bleeding remains high.
