Park Ridge, Ill., aldermen put off sign vote

Aldermen in Park Ridge, Ill., opted to postpone a vote on proposed changes to the city's sign code, to wait for a court ruling that could determine how long businesses have to comply with code changes. Among several changes, the proposal would require all nonconforming signs that have not been granted variances to be brought into compliance by Jan. 1, 2015.
