AMD exec discusses system architecture

Joe Macri, vice president and chief technology officer of the Client Division at Advanced Micro Devices, touted the advantages of the company's heterogeneous system architecture in a presentation Monday at the DesignCon conference in Santa Clara, Calif. The more flexible architecture will make it easier for software developers to create applications for AMD's accelerated processing units, he said.
