EBay could skip expansion in Utah over lack of LGBT protections

A panel of business leaders hosted by Utah State Sen. Ben McAdams said the lack of state laws forbidding anti-LGBT discrimination hurts their companies’ ability to attract employees to the state. Brandon Pace, general counsel for eBay, said his company may have to consider expanding elsewhere if Utah doesn’t enact laws that would make LGBT employees more comfortable living there. Polls show Utah residents are overwhelmingly in favor of LGBT non-discrimination laws in employment and housing.
