Agency launches $310M round of broadband-stimulus funding

In the biggest round of funding yet in doling out broadband stimulus money, the Rural Utilities Service has begun issuing grants and loans that will total $310 million. One $88.1 million project will connect 65 towns and villages in Alaska. A $19.1 million project will build a fiber-optic network in Missouri.
