Entrepreneur reveals his salary in an effort to help fellow business owners

For many years, Paul Downs, founder of Paul Downs Cabinetmakers, took a salary of less than $100,000 from his business. Then he read a book that advises business owners to "pay yourself first." Downs followed that advice and earned more than $200,000 in salary for 2011.
