TIGER grants worth $500M to be available for transportation projects

About $500 million in TIGER grants for surface transportation projects are available from the Department of Transportation. “Americans are demanding investments in highways, ports, commuter rail, streetcars, buses and high-speed rail,” said Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood. “These kinds of projects not only mean a stronger economic future for the U.S., but jobs for Americans today.”
